AP Concentration

Concentration: Self-Portait

My AP portfolio was a study on self-expression and the application of texture. At first I was going to make my concentration on anatomy; however, as I was creating my work I started to focus more on myself portrait to make my portfolio more personal. The collection of work begins with a realistic self-portrait and gradually shows texture on the skin. Towards the end of the portfolio the self-portraits become more surrealistic and abstract with the subtraction of skin and addition of objects.
